Luke 2:32 (NASB95) - “A LIGHT OF REVELATION TO THE GENTILES, and the glory of Your people Israel.”Simeon, a devout and righteous man, waited faithfully for the "consolation of Israel." He lived with the assurance that God would fulfil His promise to let him see the Messiah. Simeon’s encounter with the infant Jesus in the temple reveals his deep faith and the fulfilment of his hope. Holding the child, he praised God, proclaiming Jesus as "a light for revelation to the Gentiles and glory to Israel" (Luke 2:32).Simeon’s life reminds us of the importance of waiting on God’s promises.
