In Episode #13, Billy Donnelly struggles with the identity he feels he's used most over the years in the hopes of fitting in and being liked - the clown. He discusses the easiness of being the person who makes everyone laugh and provides a good time in the company of others, but also details the taxing struggles of having to be that guy all the time and not being taken seriously when it comes time to move beyond those moments. He tells an early story of using these tactics to be accepted at a young age, but also coming to the realization that those moments also came to define him in the minds of others. He recognizes how difficult it is for his true self to shine through out of fear of being rejected, which makes his relationship with the clown that much more complicated as this defense mechanism has taken over in many situations for far too long. He challenges everyone to try to figure out what others actually do like about you and insists on pushing himself to put who he is out there more frequently in the hopes of altering the perception of those who may only have seen him one way over time.
