But what if the miracle wasn’t just the storm Jesus calmed on the outside, but also the storm He calmed on the inside? The calming of the storm serves as an image of Jesus’ ability
to bring peace and order out of chaos, both in nature and in human lives. God can bring the miracle of peace in troubled waters of anxiety and fear.
When we stand in reverent awe of the power and majesty of God, we can know the peace that surpasses understanding – a peace despite the circumstances around us.
