The teacher’s voice is broken glass (waaah...!)
It scrapes the air in jagged lines— (gigglefit)
You count the cracks inside your desk... (hiccup sob)
Where ants march out in perfect time.

[Refrain - Cut-Up]
(giggling) "Mirror teeth— (crybreak) / Taste the— (sudden laugh) numbers /
(whimper) Fingers hum— (gasp-giggle) / Through liquid thu— (happy scream)"

[Couplet 3]
Lunchbox worlds of carrot stars (munching laughter)
And grape planets in your— (fake cry then giggle)
You bite the moon in half—it’s tart! (glee!)
The juice drips into a quiet— (shhh, sniffle)

[Couplet 4]
A classmate’s laugh is a sudden— (HAHAHA!)
It carves the room in splintered— (ouch... wah!)
You hum a note to stitch the— (whisper-laugh)
But the thread dissolves in— (confused crying)

[Bridge - Distorted Voice]
(teary giggle) "The ceiling’s just a frozen— (wobbling laugh-cry)
And your shoes are made of— (squeaky toy sound, then sob)
(whispered) They said you’d outgrow the— (sudden wail!)
But the prism— (gigglesnort) grew you..."

[Couplet 7]
A hand taps yours—it’s Mrs. Lune (giggleshiver)
Her skin smells like erased— (cough-laugh)
She says "Draw the sound of—" (confused whimper)
Your crayon screams in— (uncontrollable laughter!)

[Final Crackle]
(sleepy giggle) Chalk clattering... (yawn-cry)
A child’s breath— (content sigh)
Then a whisper (half-asleep murmur):
"They’re all... stuck in my... (snore-giggle) drawing..."
