Your audience wants something and it’s your job to deliver that. If a guest floats around and they are not supporting your theme, ask them nicely, “how does this relate to the central theme?” Ask early and they’ll mentally click that you want to stay tightly on topic. A focused interview is also one your audience will connect with and remember better.
