Subscribe to First Takes so you don't miss out! ---------------------------------------------------Dr. Claudia Williamson Kramer (Ph.D., West Virginia University) is the Probasco Distinguished Chair of Free Enterprise and Professor of Economics at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is also the Director of the Center for Economic Education. Prior to coming to Chattanooga, Dr. Kramer served on the faculty at Mississippi State University. An accomplished scholar and renowned economist, she is the author of more than 50 journal articles and her work has been cited over 3,500 times in various publications. She and her husband have one child and are expecting another. Prior to returning to Chattanooga, Joe served in Afghanistan as an Army Ranger. He also logged tours of duty in Ukraine, South Korea, and Thailand. His final assignment was as the Director for Indopacific Secuirty on the National Security Council under President Trump from 2019-21. At the White House, Joe directed the Administration's counter-China strategy in the Pacific, coordinating more than 40 departments and agencies in combating China's malign influence in the region. In addition to Patriot Family Homes, Joe and his wife, Rachel, oversee and live at Quail Run Farm, a farm-to-table regenerative farm in Lookout Valley that sells beef, pork, chicken, turkey, eggs and honey direct to consumers in Chattanooga. They have two children, Jacob and Jonah.
