Listen "#36: SHOULD YOU PROCESS YOUR OWN DEER? I SAY YES. "
Episode Synopsis
Processing your own wild game can be daunting but I really think you should try it at least once. After many seasons of processing, I've grown an appreciation for butchers and have sharpened my skills in the art myself. In this episode I share how to process your own deer and wild game, what gear you should acquire, and tips to make it a positive experience all around.
In gear I trust:
Havalon knife
FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer
Generic vacuum sealer bags
Meat Grinder This is like my Cabela's one, but just by Cuisinart
Jerky Gun same maker as my Cabela's gun, get the BIG one!
Meat Dehydrator Circle or square, it's really just personal preference, this works great though
Black Ovis Game bags Lightweight and has reflective material for safety, kinda cool!
