Listen "Elements, Part 4: "Patience""
Episode Synopsis
About This SeriesAt some point or another, every follower of Jesus asks the question, “What does God want me to do?” But the truth is, God is far more concerned with who we are becoming than with what we are doing, because if we are becoming like Christ, our actions will naturally become more and more Christlike. In Galatians chapter five, Paul explains the characteristics of a life that reflects the freedom found in the grace of Jesus and how it is displayed as it is lived out. Imagine what the world would be like if more people grew in things like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. It would be amazing! And the reality is, this is exactly the impact God wants His people to have in the world. These are the elements of change that He desires for us to carry with us every day, in every interaction with people, so that they see the power of Jesus at work in our lives. In this series, we examine these elements and explore how to cultivate them in our lives so that we can live in a way that points people to Jesus. This Week's EpisodeThis week's Pastor Bryan challenges us with the truth that the patience God wants to grow in us is the same patience He has for us. But the good news is, it's not up to us to develop Christlike patience on our own. God offers us help, and this week, we unpack what the means and how to tap into it.Speaker: Bryan ShelleyText: Galatians 5:22-23Wondering what to do with what you've heard?Your Next Step is waiting for you at hub.firstchristian.com!Learn MoreYou can follow along with this series by joining in this Sunday's services on-campus or streaming online at 9 and 11am this weekend.Follow @fcccanton on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to stay connected!Support the show
