Listen "Under Pressure"
Episode Synopsis
This Week: Under Pressure
People handle hurt differently. But mostly, we handle it poorly. When we're hurt, we are tempted to lash out at others. But we also are tempted to ignore our pain or hide from it until it bursts out in unhealthy ways. This week we're reading about the first time Joseph saw his brothers after they hurt him. This time, the power is reversed. What will he do? Join us as we look for a better way to heal in our everyday lives.
Sermon Series: Joseph: Between Favor and Favoritism
Discover the saga of Joseph—a tale of triumph and tragedy. From favored son to forgotten slave, from enslaved to enslaver, the story of Joseph is a story of ascent and descent. His journey from privilege to persecution, and ultimately to prominence, reveals profound lessons on faith amidst envy. Join us as we delve into a narrative that mirrors our own struggles with faith in a competitive world.
Sermon preached by Dallas Flippin, on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Jackson, MI.
