Shame and blame are toxic emotions, they are like poison to our bodies, minds, and our relationships. So, here’s what happens. When we fail at something or a negative event happens, if it's something that causes us to lose our dignity or self-respect, we immediately feel shame. Then in a get in this CYCLE that I call the shame- blame pendulum.
The way to stop the cycle is to have compassion. Pay attention to these powerful emotions and when they do come up, you need to have compassion for yourself and others.
