Listen "Episode 31: The Last Voyage of the Demeter (2023) "
Episode Synopsis
Welcome back to Film Haven Reivews!! This week were are starting our new Nosferati theme with the critically downplayed The Last Voyage of the Demeter (2023). I wanted to reveiw this film because I thought it deserved alot more credit than it was given. The flim wasn't perfect by any means and some of the complaints it has recieved has a kernel of truth to them. However, those complaints have been overblown and drown out the aspects of the film that really shine. I gave this film a 7/10 for its incredible color pallete and set design, as well as creature design on Dracula, while also admitting that the film was too long and relied too much on CGI at the end, creating an anti-climactic final act. Warts and all, I will be watching this movie again in the future! For my full written review feel free to follow my instagram: https://www.instagram.com/film_haven_reviews/
