Listen "Kate Webster - Developing a Rural Festival"
Episode Synopsis
Kate Webster is the Co-Founder and Director of Deer Shed; a family-focus festival that welcomes 10,00 people to beautiful, rural Yorkshire each July. This year the festival celebrates it's 15th anniversary this summer and is widely recognised as one of the UK's best family festivals. Kate's journey didn't start with Deer Shed; after working in London during her twenties in many aspects of the music industry including recording labels, music publishing and band management, she moved back up to the family farm in North Yorkshire to start a music services company specialising in music & digital media accountancy, which she still runs today (plus raising her 3 kids with husband and Co-Founder of the Festival, Oliver). In her spare time, she tries to enjoy as much live music as possible and is a keen Wild swimmer. Deer Shed Festival dates July 25th – 28th July 2025 Tickets from website: www.deershedfestival.com
