Chapter one provides the listener with a charming glimpse of English country life. As the story unfolds, the Bennett family receives the news that a wealthy, single gentleman is moving into the neighborhood.  Austen's playful treatment of the relationship between Mr. and Mrs. Bennett is delightful.
