A unique show which is part of our "deep dive" into Brazil series. A deep dive is the opportunity an ExPat has to explore a country beyond the top few tourist destinations. We recently visited Belem, Brazil at the entrance of the Amazon and noticed how prevalent Acai is in this city. On this show we interview Diego Sampaio a native of Belem who works in the Acai industry on what makes Acai so important to Belem and popular among health enthusiasts. We will also touch on efforts being taken to export this miracle fruit some consider the fountain of youth outside of Brazil. Exporting Acai importantly is a sustainable business model for the Amazon because it acts to protect the rainforest at the same time creating better health and protecting the environment at the same time.
