How can we adapt a training mindset as a Christian man? How does this connect with the instruction in the Scriptures? For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. 1 Timothy 4:8, NIVAll Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, NIV.Timothy is a young and new leader that Paul is pouring into and challenging him to be “equipped” for every good work. Equipping connects with training. Training is the mindset of exceptional men. If you desire to be exceptional, take on the training mindset. Ascetic- is drawn to discipline3. Traditionalist- loves historical things4. Activist- comes alive spiritually in the middle of a great cause5. Caregiver- meets God in serving6. Enthusiast- loves to grow through interaction with people7. Contemplative- is drawn to solitary reflection and prayer8.
