Listen "Empower Your Magical Self: Dr. Maura Moynihan, Somatic Healer (S1 Ep12)"
Episode Synopsis
"I feel like magic is being willing to reside in the mystery…we're so conditioned to look at everything through the lens of our intellect and understand things, like 'I need to understand it in order to buy in' or 'it needs to make sense to in order for me to believe it.' And magic is just willing to behold - in the origin of everything is the mystery. It is incomprehensible, and that is completely magic and…it's very ordinary. We all come from the mystery and magic and it's like being able to look through eyes of wonder and curiosity…life is just regenerative and it really is ordinary, but we get to participate in it when we're present and curious.
- Dr. Maura Moynihan
For the penultimate episode of the first season of my podcast, Empower Your Magical Self, I'm joined by the delightful Dr. Maura Moynihan.
I'm not a mother, but I very much appreciate a maternal vibe. That sense of wonder at being seen and held and appreciated by the Mother is something I think most of us never outgrow. And why should we?
That marvelous maternal vibe is what I picked up from Dr. Maura's Instagram account (and I reckon she's a good deal younger than I, so it's not about age). It's full of uplifting and kind things that make me think and feel. What could be better? Oh yeah, she's funny!
Next week is the last episode of Season 1 (I did it!). Join me then for a look back at my first 12 episodes - all of which were magic.
You can check out this episode, as well as those past, on my website, LeahWelborn.net.
