Listen "Dodgers HomeStand Season 1, Episode 37"
Episode Synopsis
The Dodgers resume their longest home stand of the year, and PA Announcer Todd Leitz wraps up their 6-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers, in town for a three game series. Todd takes a look back at a historic weekend at Dodger Stadium that saw Fernando Valenzuela's number 34 retired in an emotional pre-game ceremony, and then a whole weekend of FernandoMania activities at the ballpark. If you don't remember Fernando, Todd's got some solid information to give you some perspective on why he's one of only two Dodgers not in the Hall of Fame whose numbers have been retired. "El Toro" was truly one of a kind, and changed the face of the fan base for the Dodgers to look more like the city in which they've been playing for more than 60 years.
