So here's a story about a brand that was suffering after a salmonella scare, Cadbury.
This advert was a huge hit on youtube, minutes after it had been aired there were over 25k views on the advert, it ended up not only helping to reestablish Cadbury as the number one bar, but sales grew by 10%.
The agency brief went like this, "The brief was to get the love back to that lost generation and reconnect with the brand emotionally. I told the agency I wanted an ad that was as enjoyable to consume as a bar of Cadbury’s chocolate,”
Enter a human dressed as a gorilla and the Phil Collins tune "in the air tonight", the gorilla playing the drums....... but he waits......
What we find fascinating is the song, creates the story. But you have to wait for the real pleasure in the song, when Phil Collins drums kick in you have to wait 2.45 seconds.....
