“We need to be open to risks. We need to go from dreaming to doing. We need to say ‘yes’ to the hard things.”
We address:
● Balancing excitement and grit when facing tough challenges
● Saying “yes” to the big things
● Finding freedom in structure
● Moving from dreamer to doer
Dan welcomes Mark Drager, entrepreneur, speaker, and the founder of Phanta Media. 3 MAJOR POINTS DISCUSSED
● At some point in your life, you will have something to prove—either to others or to yourself. Most people know how it feels to want to demonstrate their worth to family, friends, and even total strangers. But even the most successful people in the world are faced with fears, doubts, and limiting beliefs that they are driven to overcome. In either case, get excited that you get to grow through smashing these limiting beliefs.
● The key to growth is excitement. Excitement will carry you so much further than grit or determination will. But the grit and the determination come in when you don’t have the excitement.
● It’s great to dream, but at some point, it’s time to do. Whenever you have a dream, you feel creative, smart, potential, and accomplished. But if you don’t do anything—if you don’t move from being a dreamer to being a doer—you’ll feel like a liar. Whenever you have a dream, you’re on the other side of a scary, hard, or difficult thing. Will everything work out if you take the leap? Probably not.
As an entrepreneur and strategist, Mark has built a multi-million dollar marketing agency, Mark helped launch startups and transformed international brands... and yet despite all the success, Mark still wakes up every morning with the feeling that he is not good enough. That he has not come close to hitting his potential. And he may never achieve the high-hopes he has for myself.
He believes we all have something to prove - to the doubters, the haters, the voices in our own heads...
So, each week he will shares real, tactical advice and the most interesting and inspiring interviews. Because his goal is to help those of us who have something to prove show the world, and ourselves, that we have what it takes to make it happen.
