My guest on the podcast this week is a partner at accountancy firm Carpenter Box, Sam Uwins, but he is not just your average accountant. He become the youngest partner in the firm aged just 27, during that time set up Star Box, a side arm of Carpenter Box that looks after the financial affairs of some of the biggest influencers, vloggers, gamers and YouTube sensations in the UK, representing over 400 clients, including KSI, The Sidemen, FR Freestylers, Patricia Bright and many more. He also in 2021 founded Arcade Media, a Management and ventures company for elite creators. In this fascinating episode, Sam talks about his passion for business at a young age and how finding his niche and spotting an opportunity has helped shape his career. He talks about some of the challenges he has faced over the past 10 years, after losing one of his biggest clients, as well as some of his career highlights. Sam imparts some great advice for any listeners looking to break into the fast passed world of being a social media influencer, some of the pitfalls, the importance of consistency and not focusing too much on the amount of views, likes and followers.
