Listen "Cultivating Discipline"
Episode Synopsis
Send us a textThis first episode of season 2 comes from a listener suggestion. Bill Emig reached out to me through Facebook and asked me about discipline. Specifically, he asked me about cultivating a life of discipline. This episode is about the two key components to cultivating discipline, habit and identity. I talk about why it is so hard to change bad habits and how to use the habit cycle to change them. I also talk about how to build new habits from scratch. I close out with some talk about motivation and consistency. If you want to build discipline into your life, I recommend three books to help you. “The Talent Code” by Daniel Coyle. “The Power of Habit” by Charles Duhigg, and “The Power to Change” by Craig Groeshel. These three books have really helped me as I strive to maintain discipline.Let’s continue the conversation!https://www.linkedin.com/in/scot-storeyhttps://www.facebook.com/Scot.Storey.Leadership?mibextid=LQQJ4d
