“Idée Fixe” is the point of origin in the collaborative relationship between Splash Pattern and Misantrop, created while both artists were reevaluating their individual sonic identities. The EP therefore takes up a life of its own, distinct from the respective outputs of Splash Pattern and Misantrop.

The release consists of three cuts of twitchy, pounding and synthetic club tracks. An homage to exuberant and innovative dancefloor sounds, the EP implements a pliable palette of sounds into three tracks blending influence from a range of high energy dance styles.
