Happy New Year, Diary!I know it's so cliché to start the new year with a list of resolutions -- resolutions that typically go unfulfilled -- I've been there, done that, and quite frankly, it is cliché.But I'm also a firm believer in superstitious fresh starts, and what better fresh start than a whole brand new fresh year? Not only that, but by the end of 2024 I came to the realization that I simply can not carry on another year, month, week or day living the way I do --- fat and broke. I'm absolutely exhausted stressing about money and how I'll pay the next bills, and I'm physically exhausted and sore from all the added weight I'm carrying around.Ha. I guess one could say I'm carrying around extra, extra weight! Literal body mass AND the weight of a crap economy on my shoulders.I need a way..... I need a personal revolution. Thankfully, I've got brains on my side. I absolutely love learning; especially about things that assist me in real life. So, why not educate myself about money?Sure, that's a great idea, but I can't do it with a bunch of brain-fog.... so, health, here I come!The goal is to document my progress every step of the way, leading up to my 40th birthday -- which is less than a year and a half away. By then I hope to be in a new family home -- healthy and comfortable -- independent of the system that is crushing us, now!You will be there to document it all, so I can use it for reference, for research, and to pass on as an educational tool for my kids,This, I suppose is my "new year's resolution", only, it's not a resolution for a single year, but a declaration for the rest of my life.The work starts today, and I'll see you again, tomorrow.
