Listen "2:41 Jelani Memory"
Episode Synopsis
DARE speaks with entrepreneur Jelani Memory, founder of the startups A Kids Co. and Circle. Jelani's story is amazing -- he wanted to talk to his kids about race and racism. So, he wrote a book: A Kids Book About Racism. The company that followed this first book -- A Kids Co -- has now evolved into a media company that has disrupted the publishing industry. Jelani was able to recently sell a large part of the publishing enterprise to major publisher DK, where he serves as a Vice President. Jelani fills us in on his history, his ambitions and his hopes for the future.
