Episode Synopsis

Daily Voice Devotional with Niyi AdekunleSunday, 15th JunePrayers 15In Luke 11, Jesus taught His disciples a model prayer covering five key areas. We've been discussing the fifth one: the prayer of protection.Job 5:6, 6-8 NKJV, 6For affliction does not come from the dust, Nor does trouble spring from the ground; But evil does not spring from the soil, and trouble does not sprout from the earth. 7 People are born for trouble as readily as sparks fly up from a fire. 8 “If I were you, I would go to God and present my case to him.In this fallen world, trouble is inevitable—just like sparks fly from a fire. It comes uninvited, without warning or cause. Yet, the best response is to turn to God and seek His help.Jesus emphasized this in Luke 11:4 BTPT “Rescue us from every time of tribulation”. The KJV says, “Deliver us from evil.” Evil is a daily reality, and God invites us to bring our concerns to Him. The Bible assures us that God has commanded His angels to guard us in all our ways (Ps 91). But we must actively ask daily and in faith.Present your case before God. Commit your life, your plans, and your path into His hands. Ask for protection not out of fear, but out of trust in His care. God desires to keep us safe, but He wants us to seek Him first. Asking shows our dependence on Him, and He responds to faith-filled prayers.Remember, none of these 5 areas of prayer stands alone. As we pray for His protection, forgive others and keep your heart clear of offense. Honor God in your prayers, seek His will, and exalt His name. When you’ve touched these 5 areas, you've touched the major areas of concern in most people's lives.Remember, even though God knows your needs, He still wants you to ask. “Ask, and it shall be given to you” (Matthew 7:7). Don’t treat prayer as a religious duty, but as a daily connection to God’s help and strength.God bless you, enjoy your day.
