Many of us know what an eternity ring signifies - everlasting love with no beginning and no end. That is the eternity Jesus offers. I have always said that our eternal life starts the moment we receive Jesus but actually, I should say it works retrospectively too. We are saved from sins, past, present and future which is what being made righteous means. Jesus's salvation has always been there for us as indeed it was for all the people mentioned in the old Testament before He came to earth. For instance we are told that the faith of Abraham, right back in Genesis , saved him. (Genesis 15:6). He did not even know the name Jesus and did not understand how he was saved but he had the faith that he was saved by God and not by his own good "works". "However to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness". (Romans 4:5). I wouldn't let this amazing Truth pass you by ...
