Listen "Husky Talk- Ronel Jumpp"
Episode Synopsis
All new episode of Husky Talk with a mountain of a man, Mr. Ronel Jummp. Coming to UConn to play football as a defensive lineman all the way from Florida.
Ronel and his cousin RC both wound up in Storrs together, RC is his cousin. He played from a young age, Ronel did not get started with football until his freshman year of high school. Big, strong, physical, good with his hands, he played all over the field. He credits having great coaches and an even better team which helped bring eyes to watch his performance.
A monster in the weight room, I remember watching Ronel bench press and squat the house. But he was one of the sweetest, kindest people you will ever meet. He was part of the 1998 team that is the best in school history and the only time UConn football made the playoffs.
These days, Ronel is back in Florida, married with a son who also plays football and this is his senior year. Always brilliant, a double major at UConn, he started his own firm that offers a variety of services...wonder where you have heard that line before. Check out his website at www.greenstreettrust.com for more information.
Meanwhile, we want to thank President Sean Rabinowitz and Procyon Partners for being a proud sponsor of Husky Talk. They are one of the top 50 fastest growing companies in the country.
UConn is hoping to move to a conference and the Big 12 is watching us. Mike Burton has worked tirelessly to build an NIL collective to help all of our programs. No donation is too small, if we all contribute something, we will help our Huskies make a monumental change and bring in conference revenue that will make a difference. Everyone go to www.bleedingblueforgood.ord and pick a sport you want to contribute to.
