Listen "Dominic Tripp"
Episode Synopsis
Steve interviews long time friend Dominic Tripp about Coach Don Edick who recently passed away. We also talk about our friendship starting with Little League on Parkway Drugs. Dominic discusses his love for basketball that transitioned to football from being a Notre Dame fan. We review his unique story of playing college basketball at Nazareth, leaving to work construction for his uncle in Pittsburgh which was tremendous work. It helped him mature and decide to play college football at Utica University. At the time, a brand new division 3 program. Coming in after being away from sports for 2 years, Dominic developed into a 3 year starter at Strong Safety. He became one of the best defensive players in Utica University history, led the team in tackles and was named Empire 8 All Conference as a senior. He loved being a coach and mentoring young athletes at NY Mills, making a positive impact on their lives which he is very proud of to this day.
