Assimilation into a new country involves a gradual integration process where immigrants adopt the culture, language, and social norms of their new home while potentially retaining some aspects of their original culture. I received an article from National Geographic. The title did intrigue me… “The city of 700 languages.” Of course, the city they are referring to is New York.
