The two main topics included in our podcast are the Enron scandal and the Bernie Madoff Ponzi Scheme. We will begin with a brief summary and provide background information for both entities, followed by a detailed description of the events that transpired. In consideration of the time periods in which the events occurred, we will compare and contrast the fraudulent activities exercised by both parties. Using the information we have learned in class, we will then conclude by offering analysis including the typology of the crises, crisis management, and critique the overall decision making of the leaders at hand. With any time remaining, we plan to offer the long-term effects that these crises had on people, businesses, and society as a whole.
