Episode Synopsis

The 1994 animated film "The Lion King" tells the story of Simba, a young lion cub who struggles with the tragic death of his father and his rightful place as king. The film was a huge hit and became an instant classic — as did its soundtrack, whose musical numbers helped to tell Simba's story along the way. In this series, we will see how the five memorable songs from "The Lion King" have themes that parallel with the greater stories and teaching found in the Bible. This is the gospel according to Simba.
