Let it be esports, artists, cosplay, or photography: does gear or materials matter. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Can having the correct gear help you? yes. But without knowledge of how to use it correctly, it is only half of the battle. First comes the person who has mastered the craft, then comes the effective gear. You can give Link the master sword at level 1, but it will be a hero with only 3 container heart instead of 12. PSA: don't forget the person who is creating the craft, playing the game, doing the cosplay - its not only the gear.
