...in which Rex and Paul talk about their foray into Southwest Arkansas to attend the annual Purple Hull Pea Festival and World Championship Rotary Tiller Race in Emerson and talk about papermill construction in Gurdon, the importance of the timber industry in the southwest part of the state, tourist traps, Paul's parents' one and only almost-argument, which consisted of one word, Witt Stephens and Arkla Village, the Hoo-Hoo Monument in Gurdon, the old Hoo-Hoo Theater, the Gurdon lights phenomenon, Prescott, the Magnolia town square, Waldo, baseball hall of famer Travis Jackson, the antique car contest at the PurpleHull Pea Festival, the pea-shelling contest, a fellow Navy veteran Paul encountered and their visit about the U.S.S. America, bumping into a stunned-looking reporter from the Wall Street Journal, lunchroom ladies, the pie and cake auction, the Million Tiller Parade, Little Rock TV personality Steve Sullivan's puzzling turn as "pea-rade" grand marshall, which didn't involve riding in the parade, and Rex and Paul's visit to the festival "command center".
