Outrageous Faith
When confronted with an unholy alliance of five Amorite kings, Joshua came to the rescue of the Gibeonites. In the heat of battle, while gaining the victory, Joshua wanted more time and said to the Lord:
“Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And Moon, in the valley of Aijalon.”
Desperate times give rise to desperate, extravagant, ludicrous, ridiculous, and yes, outrageous prayers that happen to avail much. While your friends are checking if it is scriptural to pray in such a way, you too can be chalking up the victories. It’s called outrageous faith!
