Cate opens the meeting with inviting the group to join in silence together. She then shares a prayer, inviting Holy Spirit in, and then speaks of God. God is all encompassing Love. She reminds us to embrace our own unique forgiveness practices with the Holy Spirit. There are thousands of ways to practice forgiveness. The Holy Spirit brings in what we need when we need it and we can trust that. We can take this gentle path.Cate then reads Helen Schucman’s poem ‘Before We Ask’ from her book The Gifts of God.Cate and Shannon then read through the remaining part, paragraphs 10 through 16, of The Dreamer of the Dream, section VII of The Healing of the Dream.There are two dreams mentioned in this section. One is the world we see, our brother’s mistakes and the hurts he gave. The other is the secret dream, where we become the destroyer of our brother and the world. Cate explains that an easy way to understand this is to see that the dreams are thoughts. We then see the thoughts we are having and practice forgiveness with them to see our brother’s, and our own, innocence.Cate explains that we have no awareness of the unconscious guilt of separating from God until the end of our journey. So we practice forgiveness with whatever we are experiencing to clear our mind. The Holy Spirit undoes the guilt thoughts we are having in any moment. This is our forgiveness work.“Dream softly of your sinless brother, who unites with you in holy innocence.” (paragraph 15)At 35:00, Cate takes everyone through a meditation on this section. ‘I will dream softly of my sinless brother, who unites with me in holy innocence.’At 43:00, Cate then leads a meditation based on lesson 78 Let miracles replace all grievances, focusing on the holiness of our brother.Blessings!xxx
