His expertise as both a building scientist and a 'building biologist' has led him to work with hundreds of faith community buildings to create sustainability plans to reduce energy and environmental impact.This episode's featured guest is Dr. Marcus Letourneau, who brings over 20 years of experience to his practice, which is particularly focused on heritage legislation, strategic planning, heritage planning and processes. He has been involved in over 300 projects either as the project director, project manager or as the senior heritage planner. He has been qualified as an expert heritage witness for theOntario Land Tribunal.Currently, he runs M. R. Letourneau and Associates Inc., a specialized heritage and strategic planning firm focused on creative solutions for the managementof cultural heritage resources. He has been qualified as an expert heritage witness in Ontario, an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Waterloo, instructor at the University of Victoria and at the Willowbank School of Restoration Arts. He has co-authored the second edition of Heritage Planning (Routledge) with Dr. Hal Kalman (2020).His passion for heritage is broad - volunteering on many boards, committees and serving on many organizations in his local community of Kingston, Ontario.We have many more exciting guests that will be featured this season.
