Listen "Breaking the Idolatry"
Episode Synopsis
In Parshat Re’eh, the Torah commands us to destroy five types of idolatry upon entering the Land. Rebbe Nachman reveals that each one corresponds to a lack of true simcha, the very root of idol worship. The altars of many stones reflect ingratitude, the single-stone altar denial of even one good point, the idol-tree a false impression that must be burned with holy joy and movement, the carved idols a denial of the eternal joy of the future, and their names mocked as we turn silliness into real joy. By uprooting these five, we open the way to serve Hashem in the Holy Land with joy and truth.Help support Breslov Therapy: linktr.ee/breslovtherapyThis class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.
