Rhi Davies brings a message on Baptism Sunday, In Matthew 3:16, God says of Jesus, “This is my Son, chosen and marked by my love, delight of my life.” In a similar way, we need to recognise who Jesus is and the best way to do that is to ask Him. We also need to realise what God says about us; we are God's sons and daughters and we belong to Him. Our earthly father cannot be compared to our heavenly father, who is a fully inclusive father. God always wants to know us whether we are on the mountain top or in the valleys. We are chosen, loved and adopted by God and bring Him great pleasure and we belong to Him. Finally, baptism releases us from our past and releases us into our future. We don't need to dwell on the past, but we can live in a new land of grace.
