Romans 13 instructs us to wake up from our slumber, as well as clothe ourselves with Jesus Christ, putting on the armour of light. Like Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, we try to cover ourselves with fig leaves, such as consuming pleasures, clinging to relationships, and competing with others. In order to overcome, we need to put on Jesus every day and value his thoughts over our own.
