Many of us read the bible like a history book, a dictionary or as a manual. In this message, Paul Jukes claims that the bible is also like a drama or a play! The bigger picture includes heaven and earth, God and creation, God's original covenant with his people and how it was broken and later restored. Like the woman at the well in John 4, God invites us into a new story, a new covenant. Reading the bible leads us to worship (in spirit and in truth) and it also to mission. Like the woman at the well who shared her testimony with the whole town, we are called to be a light on a hill to tell people about Jesus and model what it is to be a new creation.
