Listen "Paul Jukes - Greater Things to Come (Baptism Sunday)"
Episode Synopsis
Paul Jukes shares from Acts 16 in which Paul and Silas miraculously escaped from prison following a violent earthquake! The Jailor responsible for the prisoners was so impacted by the events that he and his entire household were baptised! In the Old Testament, Joseph was also in prison, from where some of the most remarkable and miraculous events took place! David writes in Psalm 4 that it was in his distress that God enlarged him and heard his prayer, thus proving the point that for every setback, there's a greater comeback. When Jesus died, many people thought it was all over, but that paved the way for His greatest comeback! Similarly, when we get baptised, we are symbolically buried with him and yet also raised with him through faith in God, who raised Jesus from the dead. (Colossians 2:12).
