Listen "The heart of conservation with Dorothy Lowakutuk"
Episode Synopsis
In this final episode of our series #womenintravel, I get to have a chat with Dorothy Lowakutuk. Dorothy works as a guest relations officer at reteti elephant sanctuary in Samburu county. Reteti elephant sanctuary is located in Namunyak conservancy and it is the first community owned elephant orphanage in Africa. The sanctuary was designed to rescue, support, and release orphaned and abandoned elephant calves back into the landscape that they lived in, with the hope that they would unite with their family groups once old enough to do so. I hope you enjoy and learn a thing or two💚
