That was the energy around Cat Caldwell Myers’ epic journey cross country with 3 horses, a dog, a nanny and two young children - recanted beautifully in her memoir, “The Adventure Paradox,” also the name of her podcast.
Having spent the month of June sitting on my porch with her book, I was jumping out of my seat to get Cat on the podcast! In this conversation we explore the paradoxical nature of adventure as being at once externally focused on the world and a very internal journey of relationships with our loved ones and ourselves. How a trip can provide growth and stories to fill up many lifetimes, then drop us off at home feeling sick and voiceless. Until we find podcasting and start writing that incredible memoir, deepening our understanding of the adventure as we tell it. And above all else, how life is one big adventure.
