Shen QingQiu and Shang Qinghua go to Bai Lu Forest to get a special mushroom that will help them avoid death. There, they run into Gongyi Xiao and a snake monster. Gongyi Xiao is impressed by Shen QingQiu’s mercy towards the snake monster, and also sympathetic when he sees how much Shen QingQiu misses Luo Binghe. Then, three years pass. Yue Qingyuan holds an emergency meeting because the city of Jin Lan has been infected by a plague. The other three sects sent disciples to investigate but never returned.
