Shang Qinghua saves Mobei Jun, and ends up taking care of him when he gets sick from his injuries. When he returns to the sect, he becomes a spy for Mobei Jun, and he proves his worth by becoming the head disciple. As the head disciple, he gets sent on more dangerous missions, and eventually he is sent on a mission with Shen Qingqiu and Liu Qingge. However Shen Qingqiu and Liu Qingge hate each other, and they end up fighting and parting ways. Shang Qinghua gives a heartfelt warning to Shen Qingqiu, saying that if he ever sees someone fall into a qi deviation, he needs to remain calm and find help, instead of rashly trying to save them.
