We learn more about the tense history between Shen Qingqiu, Yue Qingyuan, and Liu Qingge. After Shen Qingqiu becomes the sect lord, he enters the Ling Xi caves to better his cultivation since he feels that he’s falling behind his peers. He almost enters a qi deviation, until Yue Qingyuan saves him. Later, Shen Qingqiu is imprisoned and he realizes that he has tormented Yue Qingyuan enough. He tells him to get lost, and they never speak again. Despite this, Yue Qingyuan goes to save Shen Qingqiu from Luo Binghe and falls into a trap which kills him.
