Listen "Anthony Di Sanza: Don't Look Down"
Episode Synopsis
Episode 28 with Anthony Di Sanza
Tony has been a long time friend and supporter of Black Swamp Percussion, going back to the early years when Eric was making tambourines and timpani mallets out of his garage in Adrian, MI. If you want to hear more about that era, check out the two BSP Origin Story Episodes we released last year or so.
Tony just wrapped up a video recording project with his Union Duo partner Todd Hammes, called Tubes and More. The duo dropped two new videos a week on YouTube for the last 7 weeks. You’ll hear some excerpts of these recordings during the podcast, and you can view full performances on Tony's YouTube page here: https://www.youtube.com/user/adisanza
Tony has also been working with Tom Curry and Mark Hetzler, fellow University of Wisconsin-Madison colleagues, having released a CD last Fall titled "Don’t Look Down". This is a super interesting mix of Tuba, Trombone and percussion, which includes electronics, sequencing and processing A really unexpected and unique project.
