Jeff Dugas is a native of Schenectady, N.Y., Dr. Dugas graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He then continued his education at Duke University School of Medicine, where he would graduate with a medical degree in 1994. After his residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, Dr. Dugas moved to Birmingham to accept a fellowship in sports medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI). He later became a partner in the Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center, where he has worked as an orthopedic surgeon and managing partner for over 20 years. Jeff’s genius as a surgeon comes from a marriage of creativity and precision. Fortunately for Dread River, those traits have transferred from the operating room to the boardroom and have provided diligent direction from day one. Jeff has led, listened, pushed, planned, fought and formed DRDC at every turn for the past three years. This vision would not have become a reality without the constant love and support Jeff receives from his wife, Tracie, and his children, Chris and Caroline.
