Send us a textHow do we, as believers,  approach wokeness or progressive Christianity biblically? I've been able to see different approaches to social issues developing within the church. Some are passive and struggle with taking a stand because they don't want to offend someone or become "that" Christian. Others go to the voting booth to fix the issue or a street corner in protest, leaving out the gospel and the issue that we are all sinners in need of a savior. Where do we need to be? Christ centered. This is recognizing that we are in a spiritual battle and we don't fight flesh and blood. Being Christ centered focuses on repentance, discernment, and teaching the gospel. Next time I'm with you in part 2, we will look at these two questions: Why is this happening? What is the purpose? In order to do that, I want YOU to read the book of Hosea between now and then. In this book, I want you to pray and ask the Lord to reveal something about His character to you. How does He love? Is He quick or slow to anger? How does He view those who sin and what about punishment and consequences? What are the purpose of those consequences? We'll use what we see in Hosea to move forward  in Part 2  by going to Isaiah, Ezekiel, and Romans 1.
