Mark worked with Paul, and later with Peter. This book is another account of the life of Jesus. Unlike Matthew, Mark began with John preparing the way for Jesus. Pay attention to the level of detail provided in the stories about Jesus performing miracles and throughout events in the life of Jesus and His disciples. This information, along with what we read in Matthew will help paint a clearer picture of the life of Christ. Mark’s tone is strong and direct. He identified Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of God, and the Son of Man.
